How to Ease Computer Eye Strain With Chrysanthemum Tea

How to Ease Computer Eye Strain With Chrysanthemum Tea

The Chinese have used chrysanthemum flower heads as herbal remedies for thousands of years. It's especially popular to use the remedies to treat sore or reddened eyes caused by too much work, reading or computer strain. Chrysanthemums can also treat cloudy vision, a lack of tears, light sensitivity or dizziness. Follow these steps to ease computer eye strain with chrysanthemum tea.

1

Buy chrysanthemum tea. You can get it online or from natural food stores for around $5 for a box of 20 tea bags.

2

Use chrysanthemum as a topical solution. Get into a comfortable sitting position. Place warm flower heads or tea bags over your closed eyes.

3

Replace the flower heads or tea bags once they cool down with warm ones. Keep them on until the strain in your eyes disappears.

4

Steep a tea bag in hot water for 3 to 5 minutes. Pour drink into a mug or teacup. Drink 2 to 4 cups of chrysanthemum tea every day.

5

Make iced chrysanthemum tea by steeping a tea bag in hot water for 3 to 5 minutes. Refrigerate until cold. Serve in glass with ice.
